First Aid Awareness for Seniors
ReVIVA First Aid will be delivering a First Aid Awareness presentation to give you training and confidence in knowning what to do in a medical emergency. They will cover topics including:
• Calling 000 in an emergency
• How to manage an unconscious breathing casualty: recovery position
• CPR demonstration including use of a defibrillator
• Medical emergencies: signs, symptoms and care management of heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergency, choking & asthma
• Trauma: treatment and management of bleeding, slips, falls, fractures & Head/Spinal injury
• Overexposure to heat and cold: Hyper and Hypothermia
Light refreshments will be provided.
This event is being held in The Cove Room of the Lane Cove Council Civic Centre building, 48 Longueville road, Lane Cove. It is accessible next to Customer Service.
