Lane Cove Historical Society presents: At the Podium with Graeme Payne

27^th September: Graeme Payne: The World Fair in Sydney in 1879.

Graeme Payne is a local poet and historian in Lane Cove, and he served for a time as president of the Lane Cove Historical Society. He has a particular interest in the early history of Sydney and its harbour. In this talk he will describe how Sydney hosted one of the first World Fairs in 1879. Please join us for a cuppa and a chat aftwards. A gold coin donation would be appreciated to cover the cost of tea and coffee but not necessary.
