The painting-focused centenary survey is a celebration of Guy Warren’s artistic vitality and rigour over what could arguably be the longest painterly career in Australia. It also honours his close relationship to Lane Cove and the local arts organisation Centrehouse Inc.

Of Man and Nature captures his spirit of stylistic experimentation which sets him apart from his peers. While it traces varieties of mark-making through the decades, the recurring theme of man’s place in the natural environment and related motifs persist – and provide a unifying narrative.
