Rotary Club of Lane Cove Speaker Event: Jerome Laxale

The Rotary Club of Lane Cove presents a program of interesting speakers each month.
The speaking event is free to members of the public/non-Rotarians, however RSVP is essential.

We are delighted to host Jerome Laxale, Federal Member for Bennelong and our local member in the Australian House of Representatives.

Jerome Laxale MP was elected as the Member for Bennelong in 2022. Having served in local government for 10 years, including 5 years as Mayor of the City of Ryde, Jerome has long been a passionate and accessible advocate for his local community. Jerome and his family live in North Ryde, having lived locally for nearly 20 years.

Jerome is a member of the House Economics committee and the Joint Standing Committees of the National Anti-Corruption Committee and Trade and Investment Growth. He takes a keen interest in climate change, health, housing, enchanting multiculturalism and prioritising effective local representation.

Jerome is an experienced elected official, board director and business consultant, offering nearly 20 years of leadership experience within the private sector and government, including board roles and business leadership.

Please note that as Rotary is a non-political organisation, this event is similarly non-political. Jerome will be speaking about his background and providing us with insights into the man behind the role. A question and answer session will follow Jerome’s presentation.
