Join us for breakfast and a ‘fireside chat’ with Catherine Harris and Karola Brent. This is an event not to be missed!
About Catherine Harris AO PSM
Catherine Harris is Chairperson of Harris Farm Markets Pty Ltd. She is on the board of The Australian School of Business UNSW and newly appointed to GreenCollar and the Taronga Conservation Society, Australia. Cathy has only recently stepped down as Consul General for Bhutan and as a Board member of the Australian Ballet. Previous roles have included Federal Director of Affirmative Action and Deputy Chancellor of the University of NSW, NRL Commissioner, Trustee of the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust, The Australian Defence Force Academy, The National Gallery of Australia, Museum of Contemporary Art, The Sports Australia Hall of Fame, and Chairperson of the Australia Japan Foundation. Catherine is an Officer in the Order of Australia and was awarded the Australian Public Service Medal, The Centenary Medal and has an Honorary Doctorate in Business from UNSW. Her current and favourite role to date is Grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and farmer in the Blue Mountains!
About Karola Brent
Karola is a counsellor and psychotherapist working in private practice and in psychiatric hospital settings. Karola grew up in Hungary, studied at the University of California Berkeley and worked in Silicon Valley in internet startups, before moving to Australia with her husband and children. She has lived in Lane Cove for 20 years where she has been deeply involved in the community. Karola served close to a decade as a Councillor and two years as Deputy Mayor on Lane Cove Council, and has been the president of Gallery Lane Cove+Creative Studios since 2015. A self-professed foodie, Karola loves cooking for family and friends and as such, she is a keen supporter of the local Harris Farm!
