Tag I.T Lane Cove Workshop – Make Reusable T-shirt Bags

Tag I.T Lane Cove is a reusable t-shirt bags business where we are making bags out of old t-shirt and asking for a donation to raise money to buy the school recycling bins. Our bags are durable and aim to minimise the both the amount of clothing and plastic bags that become landfill. They have an augmented reality tag that contain an environmental message based around the concept reduce, reuse, recycle which aims to get the local community thinking about how they can make a difference. The messages can be revealed using the HP Reveal app.

As our school is situated directly across the road from the Plaza we made contact with our local Woolworths, through persuasive letters, asking them to have special boxes to collect t-shirts and distribute our reusable bags. Woolworths agreed to collect t-shirts from the community and to have a box where local shoppers can access our reusable t-shirt bags.

To launch Tag I.T Lane Cove reusable bag business our classes 3KD, 3JC and 4SS ran a workshop where members of the school and wider school community brought in an old t-shirt and we the mini teachers taught them how to turn their t-shirt into a reusable shopping bag.

Our final Tag I.T Lane Cove t-shirt bag making workshop is on Thursday 29 November from 2:00-4:00pm under the COLA.
