Biographical Info
LEARN, LAUGH & LIVE with Sydney U3A.
Now is the time to – learn something new – keep an active mind – meet new friends.
University of the Third Age (U3A) is a not-for-profit organization open to anyone who is not in full-time employment and wants to broaden their horizons, be involved in interesting discussions and share skills and knowledge. It provides intellectual stimulation in a friendly group setting.
Whatever your interest, there is a course for you.
We are so confident you will enjoy the experience we invite you to attend two courses FREE prior to joining. Upon joining, you can attend as many courses as you wish throughout the Sydney network.
Courses run during the day and cover a wide range of subjects such as – history, languages, science, technology, the arts, literature, music, personal development, travel, theatre and writing.
There are no tests, homework or qualifications – just pure enjoyment and friendship.
U3A recognizes the immense skills and experience possessed by people no longer in full-time employment so our course leaders are predominantly members who are either enthusiastic about a life time interest, are retired teachers, academics, or have business skills. Leaders draw on their personal experiences to develop courses and give their services freely. Likewise, administrative and clerical duties are carried out by volunteers.
