Nicholls Reserve Burns Bay Road Lane Cove
This reserve is located about a 200 m walk down Burns Bay Road if you were heading from Lane Cove Village to Lane Cove West. This playground is a place where you could hold a mother’s group meeting and not have to worry about a child escaping onto the road the moment you take one glance away.
Good: Plenty of shade. Fenced and a water bubbler
Bad: No Toilets
Toilets: No
Cafe: Park in Lane Cove Shops grab a coffee or some morning tea and walk down the road. Note: You do have to cross Tambourine Bay Road and Burns Bay Road intersection – but once lights are installed there will be better pedestrian access.
You can also park in the street but there is one-hour parking only which is strictly enforced.
Why would you go here instead of The Canopy – if you are meeting a group of friends you would probably have exclusive use of the playground. Bring some blankets and have a picnic.
