Hold on to your hats people we have a new shop in Lane Cove that is not a chemist, hairdresser, gelateria or display suite, it is a Japanese Grocery store.
Mori Mart is located under Coles next to Lime Leaf Fruit Market. Mori Mart is a bona fide Japanese grocery store. Mori Mart is owned by MJ and Tai. In Japanese, Mori means Forest. MJ and Tai chose the name as they wanted a name that reflected organic and healthy. The shop is crammed full of Japanese goodies you would find in a Japanese Grocery store in Japan.
Join us as we take a tour of Mori Mart.
Here are some of their best sellers and a few recipe suggestions.
Impress your friends with Gyoza (which can be either steamed or shallow fried).
If you want to try cooking up a Japanese Feast you can take some inspiration from their recipe board.
For example why not try Crumbed Chicken with Katsu sauce.

For those with a sweet tooth, there are some tasty things to sample. If you like Kit Kats, then you need to try the Green Tea Kit Kats (yes green tea)
There is also an extensive range of Pocky sticks. If you love looking a Food Blogs you will know that Pocky sticks are used extensively to decorate cakes. Check out this Strawberry Pocky Cake – if you love this the recipe is here.
If you want something Japanese, but can’t find it let MJ or Tai know and they will track it down for you.
