Figtree Greengrocer has again won an award at the prestigious Fresh Awards. Figtree Greengrocer won the best small business award. This is an amazing achievement and not an easy award to win. You have to be on your game all year round as you receive three visits from accredited mystery shoppers and visits from the judges. Each mystery shopper completes a comprehensive questionnaire. The questionnaire covers:
- Store Appearance
- Customer service
- Produce quality, range and freshness
- Product knowledge and culinary execution
- Merchandising and branding
If you have ever shopped at Figtree Greengrocer you know they know their produce!! They also have exceptional customer service (where else do you have someone carry your groceries to your car?).
This is what the Fresh Awards had to say about Figtree Greengrocer:
“Proprietor Michael Cessario, together with his sons Joe, Sam and Damian, have run this snazzy greengrocer since 2009. They have worked tirelessly to finesse their store presentation, range and service to distinguish themselves as providores of quality service and fruit and vegetables.
Figtree Greengrocer has a broad range of market fresh produce and an impressive assortment of gourmet groceries. The atmosphere is friendly and the ambiance relaxing. Nothing is too much trouble for this team; they deliver on service, quality, and value for money and total shopping experience.”
Mr ITC loves going to Figtree Greengrocers. He gets edgy if he has not been to Figtree by midday on a Saturday. Many of my friends think I am lazy as I make my hard-working husband buy the fruit and veggies. However, it is not like that at all. My husband loves buying the fruit and vegetables. He, however, does not like it when I purchase the fruit and veggies. He thinks I do not spend enough time selecting the fruit, and I pick the wrong apple variety, or my Avo pick is not good enough.
I actually think he just likes chatting with the guys at Figtree. They seem to know our life story. If I pop in, they ask if we had a good holiday in Queensland or how Ms ITC went at water polo that week.
Figtree Greengrocer has a huge range of fresh food and vegetables and a massive range of deli and smallgoods. Each year they hold a Fine Food Festival to celebrate their range of quality products.
Not only was Figtree Greengrocer a finalist at the Fresh Food Awards another Lane Cove Local Anne Marie Cummins was a finalist in the blog category for her story on Figtree Greengrocer. You can read her blog here. Anne Marie is a very talented creative director. She has produced some of the most amazing food photography you will ever see. You can sometimes taste the food when you see her food photos.
So if you have not been up to Figtree Greengrocer we highly recommend you pop in and say hi to the guys. Remember – Quality Does Not Cost it Pays.
