The NSW has started Stage 1 of the Roadmap to a COVID Safe Australia.
As NSW takes the next step, we need to keep up our high rates of testing and continue to practise physical distancing and good handwashing hygiene. If you have even the mildest symptoms, you should stay at home.
From Friday 15 May, the following will be allowed in NSW:
- outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people
- cafes and restaurants can seat 10 patrons at any one time
- up to 5 visitors to a household at any one time
- weddings up to 10 guests
- indoor funerals up to 20 mourners, outdoor funerals up to 30
- religious gatherings/places of worship up to 10 worshippers
- use of outdoor equipment with caution
- outdoor pools open with restrictions.
Lane Cove has been so supportive of our local shops and eateries and they need your continued support to keep open. The info below applies from Friday 15th May 2020. At the moment all cafes and restaurants listed (except for Four Frogs and Little Red Robin) are open for takeaway. The cafes and restaurants will continue to offer takeaway, and eat at home options as well as dining at the eatery.
Seating is limited so if you are only buying a coffee, continue to buy it as takeaway and leave the tables for people who will be buying food and drinks. This will help the cafes to survive.
The NSW Premier said at today’s press conference (14 May 2020) please book before heading off to a restaurant. She also asked that you do not stand around waiting for booking and if you do please make sure you observe social distancing.
Restaurants no matter how big they are or how many rooms they have are only permitted 10 people per seating and they must comply with the 4 sqm rule and 1.5m social distance.
