It was a hot hot hot Australia Day, and this meant that not as many people attended the events in the Lane Cove Plaza and The Canopy on Australia Day. Our cover photo shows the screen on the green on Australia Day.

Mini Crime Wave
It seems every week lately ITC is alerted to a break-in or attempted break-in around Riverview. This week we were advised:
“Security alert – last night, we were broken into while upstairs asleep. The robbers took wallet, handbags, all bank cards and stole both cars. Police on the case. Stay safe.”

Warning For Apartments
A roving reporter told us the following
“Hi Team, wondering if you can share this CCTV still images, just warning apartment residents to be wary of package thieves. This is our 3rd incident and has been reported to the police with not much follow up even when one identified the person staying in a local short term stay accommodation.”
Remember to never let anyone into your apartment following you or even if they say they are working at your apartment. Another roving reporter told us about a guy dressed up in high viz who said he was cleaning the apartment block and needed access. The person he spoke to would not let him in as they knew the apartment complex cleaners had keys and would not need access from a resident.

Another Accident at the Infamous Gore Hill Freeway Merge
This week there was another accident at the Gore Hill Freeway Merger.
An ITC follower has launched a petition about the merger at Gore Hill. The ITC follower told us the following:
“A few weeks ago I learned that I was not the only one who fears the merge onto the Gore Hill Freeway from Reserve Rd.
The one just before you go under the Pacific Hwy and hit Lane Cove.
Thanks for your input and support. Please sign this petition and share it with your friends to get our state pollies and bureaucrats to do the right thing and fix it.
Even if your friends don’t have Facebook, you can send them the link: http://chng.it/dMzpqncvPF
Signing takes about a minute and costs nothing.
Let’s get this done.”
