We have some good news for you if you need inexpensive plants for the garden or apartment balcony and want to help raise money for Guide Dogs.
Barry and Estelle live in Lane Cove North and are long-time supporters of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. They are both animal lovers and also have had some eye challenges in their family.
In 2021, they decided to raise money for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT by selling potted plants. It made sense as they grew plants for friends and family for many years.
Since March 2021, they have sold several hundred potted plants, including Sansevieria, San Pedro Cacti, Philodendrons, Epiphyllum and many types of bromeliads.
What started as a modest fundraising event has now taken off with friends, locals and some buyers donating plants and plant pots so Barry and Estelle can offer a range of different plants.
Barry and Estelle currently have spathiphyllum, clivias, aloe vera, and rose campions and bungalow palm seedlings for sale. Their range changes regularly. Prices range from as low as $1 to $10 and you can pay by cash or credit card.
How Do You Buy the Plants?
Barry and Estelle can organize contactless viewings and sales. Interested buyers can phone 0417 651 671 or email Barry at [email protected] to make an appointment.
How Can You Help with their Fundraising?
Barry and Estelle are happy to receive plants and plant pots donations and collect donations from the Lane Cove Council area.
If you have some spare time and would like some inexpensive plants, contact Barry to arrange an appointment (mid-week and weekend appointments available).
