Some 15 years ago, Michael Nehme, a local Lane Cove builder, set out to do things differently and started to change the way we renovate and build homes in Sydney: one house at a time.
Michael says that when he started in the building industry, he viewed the concept of building a house just like raising a child… as per that old African proverb: “It takes a village”… you need the services of an architect, a town planner, a builder, an interior designer and in between all of that, you have to communicate with them all and fit all of that in our already busy lives.
Michael is very familiar with what families go through when building a house. Michael and his wife Alexandra and their three small children are currently building a home in Riverview.

Sometimes it is the little things that leave an impression.
Michael says that people are not satisfied with living in square brick boxes anymore, and rightly so. The house design today should consider the building’s layout, cross-ventilation, the building products used, privacy, and position of all overhanging for shade and sun so that the house can achieve as close to a green status as possible.
