This year we have added a new competition to our Christmas Calendar. We love the Christmas Lights competition, but we also thought a competition that could involve the whole family, using items you may already have around the house would be a great addition.
We decided to ask Lane Cove locals to decorate their mailboxes and make them “merry”.
It was the competition’s first year, and we hope to grow entries and awareness in the future.
We will give you more notice and make sure the competition is open after the kids are on holidays.
Next year we will include a festive fence category and decorated door (as many people decorate their fences and/or front doors but may not decorate their whole house).
We want to promote joy and festive fever without people spending heaps of money!!
Thank you to Rebecca Mitchell of Raine & Horne Lower North Shore for providing a total prize pool of $1500.00 (We are so lucky to have such a generous sponsor ITC saw another Christmas Lights Comp for a few suburbs, and the prize was $250!!). The $1500 is for Christmas Lights and Merriest Mailboxes.
