Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios (GLC+CS) is excited to announce the return of its annual Open Studios Weekend, offering the community a chance to dive into the world of art and creativity. On Saturday, 23 November, and Sunday, 24 November, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the vibrant local art hub will open its doors to showcase its inspiring facilities, talented artists, and diverse workshops. They will have the Live Music Zone providing music on both days so be sure to pop in and enjoy the atmosphere.

Located in the heart of Lane Cove, this not-for-profit art centre has long been a cornerstone of the community’s creative life. Its Open Studios event promises an engaging and immersive experience for everyone, whether you’re an experienced artist, a hobbyist, or simply curious about the arts.

What’s Happening at Open Studios?

 Attendees can look forward to:

• Studio Tours: Explore GLC+CS’s four stunning studios – Ceramics, Printmaking, the Guy Warren Art Studio, and the Bernina Textile Studio.
• Free Workshops: Join hands-on workshops in Drawing, Printmaking, Ceramics, and Textiles, catering to all skill levels.
• Live Demonstrations: Watch as skilled artists bring their creations to life and share techniques.
• Ceramics Stall: Browse a selection of handmade ceramics crafted by GLC+CS teachers and students.
• Meet the Community: Engage with the dedicated staff, students, and local artists who form the beating heart of this creative space.
• Refreshments & Live Music: Relax with light snacks and enjoy live music performances throughout the weekend.

School Holiday Workshops

This January 2025, the gallery is offering an exciting lineup of Kids’ Holiday Workshops! Young artists can dive into hands-on fun with pottery, textiles, and ceramics, where they’ll learn new skills, explore their creativity, and create unique projects to take home. Perfect for kids eager to get creative over the holidays!
