Kumon Lane Cove
At Kumon, we personalise each student’s program, right from the beginning. Students begin study at a level that allows them to build self-confidence from day one, and progress according to their ability rather than their age. Over time, our students develop the study habits, attitude and skills that will allow them to study advanced material confidently and independently.
Kumon has operated in Lane Cove for over 30 years, and is run by local mum (and ex-Kumon Student) Sheryl Lee. We are constantly adjusting our centre to ensure the safety of our students, staff and the local community. Families can study with us in person, online, or via correspondence – choose the system that suits your family best!
Find out more about the Kumon Method of Learning by watching our introductory video (kumonglobal.com/kumon-a-foundation-for-the-future/) or booking an Orientation Meeting directly with Sheryl at [email protected].

Sydney Speech Clinic
Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists are professionally trained to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of developmental differences and ultimately aim to help individuals in their daily activities, relationships and communication skills.
Sydney Speech Clinic offers Individualised 1:1 Therapy and Group Programs in order to support clients in working towards their goals. Individual sessions are highly tailored to each person’s specific goals whilst group sessions promote peer learning in an interactive, motivating and supportive group environment. We currently have 1:1 therapy appointments and group programs available for Term 3 at certain times.
Our group programs are designed to supplement a child’s learning in other environments by building on existing skills and allowing for generalisation across situations. Most importantly, these groups encourage the children in the group to learn from one another. We often find that children thrive in this group setting, and emerge feeling more confident and empowered. Group programs offer a reliable and affordable way of maximising your child’s exposure to learning.
All services are evidence-based, and carefully planned and facilitated by qualified speech pathologists and/or occupational therapists.

School Readiness Group – For Children Starting School in 2026
Starting school is a big step, and it can feel especially overwhelming for neurodivergent children. Our weekly School Readiness Group runs each week in term 4 to help children build the confidence, routines, and friendships they need to thrive in their first year of school.
Through structured, play-based activities, we support skills such as listening, following routines, early literacy and numeracy, social interaction, and independence. The group is designed to be flexible and supportive of sensory needs, different learning styles, and communication differences.
Parents also receive practical ideas and strategies to make the transition to school smoother at home. Together, we create a gentle and positive pathway to “big school.”
Day & Time: Fridays 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Feeding Group – Supporting Picky Eaters
Mealtimes can be stressful — especially when children are highly selective about what they eat. Our weekly Feeding Group is designed for neurodivergent children who experience challenges with picky eating, sensory sensitivities, or food refusal.
In a calm, play-based setting, children are encouraged to explore foods at their own pace, with no pressure to eat. We use sensory-friendly strategies to help children feel safe and confident around food, gradually expanding the range of foods they are comfortable with.
Parents receive practical strategies to support positive mealtime routines at home, with a focus on reducing stress and making mealtimes more enjoyable for the whole family.
