Craft Workshop – Natural Dyeing with Karen Tam

This is your chance to attend a workshop with Karen Tam.  Karen is holding an exhibition with Gallery Lane Cove where you can see her fabulous works and then learn some of her techniques.  This is an introductory workshop.  It will focus on exploring natural colour from flowers and foliage and other earth friendly ingredients like turmeric and food waste. Students will develop an understanding of dyeing fabric samples and silk scarves using basic shibori methods. Learn how to bundle dye using flowers, leaves and steam.
