[FREE] Awesome Black x Lane Cove Cinema Club – Shorts for Youth

To mark the start of the Awesome Black x Lane Cove Cinema Club movie series we are bringing you three brilliant short films- Elders, Finding Jedda and Shiny Ones
“Elders” (2019) by Tony Briggs – Based on a true story, a young boy must find his way back to his elders in the midst of the Australian bush.
“Finding Jedda” (2021) by Tanith Glynn-Maloney – Finding Jedda follows two girls who go head-to-head for the role of a lifetime, in a reimagining of the 1954 auditions for the iconic Australian film Jedda.
“Shiny One” (2021) by Viviana Petyarre – A young man dreams of escaping his bush community and finding riches, but soon learns that wealth comes in many forms.
If you are between 12-17 years old – come early for a free BBQ feed on the Pottery Lane Balcony from 4:00pm.
Free event – bookings essential. Doors open 5:00pm. Screening starts at 5:30.
