Green, Living Spaces – WEPA Talk

21 November 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Free

Mega mansions and medium density, shrinking backyards, tree clearing and disappearing wildlife – many of us are worried by the changes we see overtaking the Willoughby City area.  But there are many positive things we can do at home and as a community to keep our suburbs green, living spaces of benefit to residents and wildlife.

Join WEPA to listen to a talk by Dr Peter Davies*, Senior Lecturer, Environmental Planning, Macquarie University on our urban ecology and innovative ways to balance the competing needs of people and the environment in the WCC area and across Sydney.

When: 8pm on Tuesday 21 November 2017

Where: the Craft Room, Glenaeon Primary School, 121 Edinburgh Road Castlecrag

Free to all – bring your friends – Supper follows

*Dr Davies is a member of Willoughby City Council’s Sustainability Reference Group.  He has also held senior management positions in a number of State agencies and councils, including Senior Manager Sustainability at the Sydney Catchment Authority and Manager Corporate Planning and Sustainability at Ku-ring-gai Council.
