Ronald Besdansky: A Brief History of the tramways of the North Shore.

Ron Besdansky is a retired Communications Engineer and IT Developer. Now aged 73, he has been interested in the tramways of Sydney since first reading about them when he was 15. He contributes photos and videos on a regular basis to a Facebook group.

Ron Besdansky will use a PowerPoint slideshow with about 68 slides, comprising photographs and maps. His talk will briefly cover the first tramways in the Sydney area from 1866, and go on to offer a more detailed coverage of the North Sydney lines from the first cable tramway in 1886 to the last trams in 1958.
