ITC has always really enjoyed September and October in Lane Cove. The weather is usually delightful, the trees start to bloom and the Cameraygal Festival is in full swing. Here are just five events you will want to attend in the next two months.
Lane Cove Coffee Carnevale Saturday 10th September 9am to 3pm
As you all know by now ITC has a PhD in coffee drinking. We try each day to get out and sip a cuppa from a different coffee shop. It is a hard job but somebody has to do it. The Coffee Carnevale celebrates our love of a good brew. It has become such a success that it was recently featured on Sydney Weekender. Check out the coverage here.
The Lane Cove Coffee Guide is being launched on the day. There are almost 30 coffee shops listed along with maps to help you navigate your way throughout the village, well beyond the Plaza and into Greenwich, Northwood, Riverview and Lane Cove West. Can’t make it on the day? Visit Council’s website after the day to download your guide or pick it up from your local cafe.
Get ready to soak up the energy from the Plaza (and your coffees!) at this year’s Lane Cove Coffee Carnevale. For more information, including the latest list of in-store coffee shop specials, visit Council’s website www.lanecove.nsw.gov.au/carnevale or see our blog here.

Indian Bazaar – 17 September 2016 from 8.30am
The Indian Bazaar is a favourite event for families and teenagers. It has a huge carnival atmosphere. It is a bit like a mini Sydney Royal Show (complete with people spruiking hams like there is no tomorrow). There are rides, oyster bars, jumble sales, food, farm produce and a wine auction.
The Bazaar is held at St Ignatius College Riverview, however, this is not a school event. It funds the Jesuit Mission’s work in over 13 countries, empowering the most vulnerable people to transform their lives and build brighter futures.
Big Family Fun Ride Sunday 18th September from 11am
Celebrate cycling in Lane Cove by joining Lane Cove Council’s Bicycle Advisory Committee for the 4th annual Lane Cove Big Family Fun Ride, Sunday 18th September. The ride starts at 11am, at the corner of Epping Road and Longueville Road. Find out more here.
