Encounter Dating
Singles events business, Encounter Dating is preparing to celebrate its launch party hosted by celebrity MC, Paul Hancock at the iconic Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney on Friday 2 June. This will be the first in a line-up of exciting new events Encounter Dating has planned for the singles of Sydney. Registration with Encounter Dating is free, and entitles members to receive private invitations to singles events throughout Sydney.

Anvil Cafe & Grocer is now open in Crows Nest. Anvil is owned by Lane Cove local Paul and ITC can highly recommend brunch. Anvil is located at 54 Alexander Street, Crows Nest.

Farewell to Indian Fusion, who closed down during the month. They were located upstairs, at the rear of the arcade, above the Cake Man.

Cellarbrations Lane Cove
Meet Chelsea Tang she is the new manager at Cellarbrations at Lane Cove. She has an amazing knowledge of wine. In fact, she has a Master of Oenology (ie she knows heaps about wine). If you are looking for a weekend drink, drop in and see her at Cellarbrations Lane Cove. Cellarbrations is located under Coles. They are part of a buying group and the store is not owned by Big Business.
Relocated/Refurbed
Lane Cove and North Side Community Aid has moved to 1 Pottery Lane, Lane Cove (the new building and car park opposite the Lane Cove Aquatic Centre).
Lane Cove & North Side Community Services is a local not-for-profit organisation that helps residents to live a quality and independent life in their own home and in their community. It provides Local Support for Local People
They provide services to the aged and people living with a disability including Social Activities, Gardening, Nursing, Podiatry, Community Care Advisory, clean sheets and towels, home delivered meals, home modifications, and maintenance.
The BP site on Pacific Highway Lane Cove/Artarmon is closed. The site is currently closed for upgrade works for a period of 3-4 months. If you need BP Petrol pop around and see our wonderful #itcgoldsponsors Jack & Co. Northwood on Northwood Road (aka River Road by some).
La Provence Patisserie
La Provence will be closed for 4 to 6 weeks from 8 May 2017, while they renovate their premises. It will be interesting to see the revamped business. New owners took over La Provence late last year.
Milestones/Special Mentions
Lane Cove Golf Club – 10 Years of Live Music
April 12 this year marked the 10th anniversary of the introduction to music at the Club on Friday nights. The band, then known as Unit 7 began performing on the deck, and ads for the group noted that the band has started “an Autumn season”. That autumn season has now extended to a 10 year “season”.
Over the ten years, the band has changed its name to Full Swing. The quality of music provided by these talented musicians, week in and week out, has been remarkable, and the regular attendees have enjoyed some absolutely stunning performances at a cost of almost nothing!
