Bespoke Catering is located on Northwood Road, Northwood across the road from Porter’s Liquor. Bespoke is “a confident and experienced food venture that offers flexible dining for a wide variety of events and functions”.
We asked Bespoke’s owner Chelsea, some questions about herself and her burgeoning business.
Tell us about yourself and your business
I’m Chelsea from Bespoke Catering with our busy kitchen located at the Northwood Shops in the Lane Cove Council Area. My team and I have been operating here for the past 3 years but prior to that I spent many years overseas working and travelling as a private chef. Those years offered me the opportunity to experience alternate cultures and values and that is certainly reflected in our test and working kitchen.
Why did you choose the Lane Cove area to open your business?
Our decision to locate in Lane Cove was very much influenced by the convenient location to both the city to provide for corporate clients and the surrounding residential suburbs. Family events, intimate parties, and local celebrations are just as important to us and we like to be near our customers.
What makes your business different to others?
Our competitive price structure and our ability to adapt to the needs of our customers. Our menus are exciting, innovative and delicious but they are not cast in stone. It’s not uncommon for a client to actually send us a recipe that they would like to be included on their menu!!
What are Your Signature Dishes?
That’s a loaded question but paramount to our dishes is fresh, in season ingredients. A working brunch may include our housemade Bespoke spelt muffins, lunch artisan rolls, a selection of salads or boxed lunches. Our party guests love the varied collection of hot and cold canapes and our banquet and wedding functions are vibrant and generous.
What is your favourite thing to do in Lane Cove, when you’re not working?
My mind is never really in a “not working mode” but luckily I can relax and fuel my creativity just by strolling along Longueville Road. We are blessed with a wealth of eateries and I see inspiration everywhere. I also like to support local businesses when I can so I do have local suppliers.
What do you think could make the Lane Cove area even better?
Free parking, better infrastructure in the shopping area and please a closer observation to speeding around the schools.
