Lane Cove – Get Moving in March

Are you running out of new year motivation or feel like 2018 is flying by without that kick you were hoping for? Perhaps you are looking to help yourself or someone else to start small or to push yourself to the limit. Well, good news!

Lane Cove’s month-long community fitness program Move More in March is here to help inspire people to get more movement and activity throughout their day.

It’s a program for everybody.  People choose how much they want to commit to – be it weekends, weekdays, 1, 2 or 3 weeks or the whole month of March.

There are three levels to choose from:

·         Move More – for those starting out

·         New PB – for people who want to set their own goal and try to achieve it

·         Step Ahead – for those who want to do as much as they possibly can

People can take part on their own or with a group by setting their own goals and make it as gentle or as challenging as they like.  The ITC team is getting on board and will have a group for the team and our members.

This program can be used in a number of ways: to gently start some form of exercise; as a work challenge; a way to engage the community for community groups; for team building; as a fun family activity; something to do with your friendship or sporting group; something to challenge yourself to new fitness heights.

Take a look at www.movemoreinmarch.com.au and find out why it’s important to move more. It’s easy to join and get involved with this local initiative.

SPECIAL MOVE MORE IN MARCH EVENT!

There is a new fitness equipment station in Blackman Park and while it can be used by everyone it is particularly good for Seniors movement. This March you can learn how to use this range of equipment with Sally Castell, a physiotherapist who specializes in exercise and movement for seniors.  Sally will show you how to use the equipment safely. She will provide you with a book to record your work and includes photos and instructions for each part of the equipment.

When:  March – 2, 9,16, and 23 from 1:15pm -2:15pm. Wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes

Where: Blackman Park – go through the car park and past the toilets. The exercise equipment is on the left-hand side near the children’s playground.

Then:  Stay and enjoy some afternoon tea to celebrate your achievements!

To book: Phone 9911 3591
