ITC Lane Cove Facebook Business Post Guidelines

Business Posts

ITC Lane Cove Chat page is a place for the Lane Cove Community connect with each other, not for businesses to self-promote to our closed group.  If you run a business, then please ensure you read rules around business posts in the group. If you are a business located in the Lane Cove council area (or near by) or you provide a service that is not currently offered in this area, you should consider advertising on our website, newsletters and social media. Our packages are affordable and get great reach and engagement.

Am I allowed to respond if someone ask for a recommendation?

You are only allowed to suggest yourself if you are an ITC Business Supporter (packages start at $35/month). In the Cove does a lot of advocacy work and a lot of what we do for the community does not provide any funding to support our overheads. We want to support businesses that help us fund the work we do for Lane Cove and its residents.  If you are not an ITC business supporter your posts will be deleted.

As and ITC advertiser, you are allowed to respond with your business information, 1 image and a link to your Facebook or Instagram. Do not PM any followers unless they have explicitly asked you to do so.

ITC Lane Cove Chat Business Hour

Historically we have tried to avoid doing any sponsored posts on this chat page as we find our In the Cove Facebook page, Instagram PageWebsite Directory and Newsletters get a greater reach and are more successful for advertisers.  However, we decided its time to support the businesses that support In the cove.  If you currently advertise with ITC, you are also welcomed to take part in our Business Hour everyWednesday 8-9pm. Don’t try to disguise a Business Post

Discreet business posts are not allowed and will be deleted. If you offer a service or product and you want to put up a post asking for helpful tips, asking if the community would be interested in this service, we will delete it. These posts pretend not to be a business post but inevitably they do generate business.

Not for Profits

Are you a charity or a not for profit? Do you have a fundraiser or need a bit of help engaging the community with your cause? Just send us a PM and we will give you the OK to post on the page if we deem it to be suitable.
