St Leonards Square – A New Retail and Dining Precinct in St Leonards

Did you know that the Lane Cove Council Area includes part of St Leonards?   In the Cove has a number of readers who live or work in St Leonards, so we thought it was time to put the spotlight on St Leonards Square – a new retail precinct in the heart of St Leonards.

Where is St Leonards Square located?

It’s located at 472-486 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards.  It’s an easy walk from St Leonards train station or a quick drive from Lane Cove.  There are two hours of free parking, and you access the parking via Nicholson Street St Leonards.

St Leonards Square Outdoor Plaza

The centrepiece of St Leonards Square is an outdoor plaza with designer landscaping to cater for alfresco dining.
It’s a place to meet for lunch, pick up shopping or grab your daily coffee or dine in style at night.

Sekka Dining– A new Japanese Izakaya.

The Rusty Rabbit – Open up your comic-themed menu and choose from classic café breakfast dishes, multi-culturally inspired meals, Toby’s Estate Coffee, fresh juices, smoothies and more.  Go for the Magic Coffee – highly recommended by one of ITC’s friends who is coffee-obsessed.

Eight Dining Coffee Restaurant and Bar – They focus on using high-quality fresh, local ingredients, serving tasty Modern Australian cuisine throughout their inviting and individually designed dining spaces.  ITC was looking at their menu when some local residents walked by and told us we would not be disappointed if we dined at Eight Dining.  Just what we like – an unsolicited recommendation.

 

Chambers Cellars – Open 7 days a week.

QE Foodstores – an independent Australian family-owned business with 11 stores throughout Sydney. They are called QE Foodstores as QE stands for Quality and Easy.  Their mission is to make “Quality Food Shopping Easy”.  One of ITC’s Balmain friends is a big QE Foodstores fan.

Virgin Active – The facility opened in December 2020 and offers boxing, Reformer Pilates, yoga and HIIT, plus a gym with strength, cardio and functional training zones.

The Mayflower Sydney – A lush café serving a modern menu surrounded by works of art.

Washroom Laundry – ITC regularly gets asked if there’s a laundromat in Lane Cove.  The answer is coming soon. We are excited to tell you the boutique self-service laundromat – Washroom Laundry will soon open in St Leonards Square.  You will be able to wash your clothes while you brunch or lunch (so there will be an upside if you need a laundromat because your washer or dryer has broken down).

Eight Restaurant is actually excellent food, according to my hubby. I use Virgin Active and grab a coffee and groceries from QE Foodstores – could say I am a fan  – Natalie.

So if you want to mix it up a bit and try another part of Lane Cove – head on over to St Leonards Square; ITC went on the Queen’s Birthday Holiday Monday, easy to find, easy to park and of course the Magic Coffee at Rusty Rabbit was excellent!!!
