WAIG Women’s Discussion Group – Lane Cove Residents for Reconcilation

| Co-convenor of Lane Cove Residents for Reconciliation, Kerrie McKenzie, will talk with us about the work of this local voluntary, non-funded, non-party-political and not-for-profit group of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people working together to raise awareness of the issues involved in the process of Reconciliation and Social Justice; and consistent with the National Reconciliation Corroboree 2000 Vision Statement: “A united Australia, which respects this land of ours, values the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage; and provides justice and equity for all.” She will talk about the Uluru Statement from the Heart, and about where the matters of First Nations’ inclusion into the Constitution, and voice to parliament have progressed. |
