Chisengo Makomo, is an artisan with a passion for cultural and creative arts. As a mental health consumer, Chisengo was inspired to develop a program called Warriors of Wellbeing (WoW). WoW is a mental health initiative, aimed to promote good mental health and wellbeing through cultural and creative arts. This involves working with people to design and create selfcare tools including Headwraps (Headscarves), Hoodies and Journals, which are made from vibrant African wax print fabrics. Chisengo will tell us about WoW and the tools that she encourages people to use as a means of promoting social and emotional wellbeing.
