Source Bulk Foods is Collaborating with Zero Waste World Leader

Geoff and Michelle (the delightful owners) of The Source Bulk Foods Lane Cove are super excited to announce that Bea Johnson is collaborating and presenting for the Source Bulk Foods group.

Bea Johnson knows all about Zero Waste as she was one of the first people to embrace the Zero Waste Movement. Bea took a blog about her family’s lifestyle and turned it into a bestselling book.  She now tours all over the world talking about Zero Waste.  If you think that waste-free is about depriving your family, time-consuming or only for those Nimbim greenies – think again.  Her focus is on enjoying a richer life based on experiences instead of stuff.

Bea Johnson and her family’s entire rubbish for a year fits into just one mason jar.

Bea will explain how since adopting the Zero Waste lifestyle in 2008, her life and that of her family have changed for the better.

Bee’s mantra is:

Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot (and only in that order)

Bea has delivered presentations to organisations such as Google, TedX, the European Parliament and is regularly featured by media such as BBC, NBC, The New York Times, People Magazine and CNN.

The Zero Waste Movement is now a movement that cannot be ignored – one that The Source Bulk Foods have been advocating since 2012 when they started selling bulk, unpackaged foods in Mullumbimby.

Today, The Source Bulk Foods has over 43 stores around Australia and of course one in Lane Cove in Lane Cove Market Square.  The Source Bulk Foods offers a range of bulk products that greatly reduce packaging and waste. The Source has saved over 50 million bags from going to landfill and is on a mission to change the way Australians shop for groceries and spread the zero waste message through initiatives such as Bea Johnson’s talk.

If you’re concerned about the accumulating waste problem we all share, then Bea Johnson’s talk is a must.
