Last year 25 Artists living in Greenwich threw open their doors and welcomed visitors to their studios. Visitors can enjoy wonderful bush and waterfront walks as they wander from studio to studio, and choose from four cafes for meals and coffee. Studios are open on the weekend each day, from 10am to 4pm. Train, ferry and bus stops are all within a short distance of the trail and maps are available at the local shops or on the website.  Read about last year’s event here.

Lane Cove Food and Wine Festival 3 November 2019

This Festival is the new kid on the block, however it is gaining momentum every year.  One of the highlights is the Food and Wine Festival By the River.

Orange wineries and gourmet food vendors will be serving up the mouth-watering flavours at Tambourine Bay Reserve, Riverview from 11:00am – 5:00pm.

The event will again showcase the cool climate wine growing region of Orange which is proving itself as a year round destination for quality produce and award-winning wineries. Samples will be available by the glass or half glass and a range of exciting foodies will be on-site to offer the perfect accompaniment to your high altitude wine.

Food and Wine by the River is a licensed event with no BYO or glass permitted. This family-friendly event includes free face painting and an animal farm display for the kids and as long as dogs are on a leash, they can come too! There will be a free shuttle bus running from the Lane Cove Library down to the event so you can leave the car at home. Free parking is also available at St Ignatius’ College, Riverview.

Food and Wine By the River is part of the River Festival. The River Festival celebrates life on the river with two weeks of activities along foreshores, in parks and on the doorsteps of community groups that call the river home. Be it a glance, a swim or a paddle the Lane Cove community is connected to life on the river.  More info soon, here is what it was all about last year.
